SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

100%x180

The school is on a hill whereby the buildings are shaded by trees being swung by smooth wind from Lake Ikimba. Lake Ikimba has a very interesting story in Kiswahili about its existence, Mwali aliambiwa na mama mkwe asifunue chungu. Mama mkwe alipoondoka, mwali alifunua chungu kuona kilichomo. Maji yalimwagika kutoka kwenye chungu. Mwali alikimbia mbio maji yakamfuata. Alifika mahali akaishiwa pumzi na akafia hapo aliposimama. Basi maji nayo yakaishia hapo na kuendelea kuongezeka yakasamabaa na kuzaa Ziwa Ikimba.

The school environment is named The Eden Garden since there are various types of trees which also motivate monkeys around due to availability of fruits. Really, the missionaries who made the choice in the 1950s proved having an eagle’s eye!
